Sharing Live Music, Lighting up Lives!
At Music for Seniors, we believe in the profound impact that live music programming can have on the lives of older adults. Beyond the joy of listening to melodies that resonate with their hearts, our live music initiatives serve as a powerful tool for reducing isolation and nurturing social cohesion within senior communities.
Join us in harnessing the power of live music to combat isolation and cultivate a sense of community among older adults. Together, let's create harmonious moments that resonate long after the music fades.
We achieve our mission via four distinct live music programs:

Outreach
Our interactive Outreach is delivered to older adult groups in recreational and care settings, including memory care, assisted living and independent living groups - intended to actively engage and entertain all participants. If you have a group that you would like us to serve, contact us at [email protected] or call us at 615-330-1937 to schedule a program for your community. If you would like more details on attending our public Outreach programs at community centers, senior centers and other public venues, check out our Events page.

Frank Dycus Legacy Free Daytime Concert Series
Our Frank Dycus Legacy FREE Daytime Concert Series features talented bands and soloists at various accessible venues throughout the area. Concerts are scheduled during daytime hours on weekdays to allow everyone the opportunity to attend: independent older adults; groups from senior centers and senior communities; and groups with special needs transported by care-giving staff are all welcomed and celebrated. Check out our Events page for more details on our FREE Daytime Concerts in Middle and East Tennessee.

Live Performance Learning Labs
Our Live Performance Learning Labs are multi-session, hands-on group instruction programs led by qualified teaching artists to help older adults learn to play an instrument, participate in a choral group or learn the creative process of songwriting. These are one-hour daytime classes usually scheduled in a 6-week series with instruments provided, if needed. Check out our Events page for more details on our Live Performance Learning Labs in Middle and East Tennessee.

Intergenerational Programs
Our Intergenerational Programs bridge the gap between generations, offering a vibrant platform where youth and older adults come together to create and share music, fostering a harmonious community that values and learns from each generation’s unique experiences and talents. Check out our Events page for more details on our Intergenerational Programs.
