It’s official! September 25, 2024 has been proclaimed LIGHTING UP LIVES DAY in Middle and East Tennessee by Nashville Mayor, the Honorable Freddie O’Connell, and Knox County Mayor, the Honorable Glenn Jacobs.
The first annual Lighting Up Lives Day is a celebration of community, live music, and the health and vitality of older adults. We hope you will join us in our mission to raise awareness and critical funds for Music for Seniors to continue Lighting Up Lives of our older adults through the healing power of music. Why Lighting Up Lives Day Matters
Music for Seniors’ programming is designed to engage, entertain, and educate older adults, promoting health and well-being, reducing isolation and feelings of loneliness, strengthening a sense of belonging in the communities where they live, and enriching the lives of all participants.
This year we will deliver 1,700+ shared live music programs in partnership with more than 130 local Musician Partners, together lighting up the lives of 50,000+ older adults across Middle and East Tennessee.

$11 is all it takes to help bring Music for Seniors’ unique programming to one older adult in Tennessee. Your gift of $220 shares live & interactive music programming with 20 people!
Your monthly gift is the most effective way to ensure that older adults continue to have access to vital programming to boost their health and vitality.
Thanks to a generous donor, every gift or pledge received by September 25, 2024 will be matched, dollar for dollar up to $20,000, making your gift go TWICE as far!
