SUMMARY:Marty Crums' Dixieland Band 'MartyGras' - Nashville from 1pm-2pm
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Fat Tuesday for a fun set of music\, merriment\, and Mardi Gras magic! \nMarty Crums’ ‘MartyGras’ will set the stage for an exciting celebration with some lively\, toe-tapping tunes. Known for their spirited performances\, this talented group will bring the soulful sounds of Dixieland to life with upbeat rhythms\, rich brass harmonies\, and a joyful energy that captures the heart of New Orleans. \nDixieland music\, often called the original jazz\, is a genre that celebrates improvisation\, syncopation\, and pure fun. Rooted in the rich cultural traditions of Louisiana\, it combines ragtime\, blues\, and brass band elements to create a sound that’s both timeless and infectious. \nThe MartyGras Dixieland Band will have us clapping\, dancing\, and smiling. So grab your beads\, bring your friends\, and let’s celebrate Fat Tuesday in true New Orleans style! \nWe’re grateful for our venue host this month The Heritage at Brentwood and partnering support from CenterWell\, Tennessee Arts Commission and National Endowment for the Arts! \n**ATTN: Parking-park at Tower Park and look for “The Heritage Event” signs. Attendees coming in personal vehicles will be shuttled from that parking lot. Buses may drop off at Heritage front door with bus parking at Tower Park** \nFor groups of 4 or more please contact Natalie Thomas at natalie@musicforseniors.org
